Paso Robles is known for its world-class wine, but there’s no shortage of outstanding food. Whether you’re looking for a fancy restaurant or just a hole-in-the-wall location to fill a craving, Paso Robles has many options to choose from.

But what if you’re looking to spend the day at the wineries and would prefer to enjoy your wine and food at the same location? There are many wineries in Paso Robles that also serve food, and in most cases those wineries will serve food that will complement the wines that you’re drinking.

Best On-Site Dining at a Winery

Ancient Peaks Café – Along the southern border of Paso Robles wine country lies Ancient Peaks Winery. The Café located adjacent to the tasting room specializes in ranch-to-table fare. We recommend stopping by to enjoy one of their signature sandwiches after an afternoon of vineyard ziplining. A couple of our faves include Longhorn; warm roast beef, swiss cheese, red onions, & chipotle aioli on grilled ciabatta or the Figgy Piggy: prosciutto, brie, arugula, & fig jam on a baguette.

Barton’s Kitchen – Cruise down the well-known Highway 46 West and you’ll find hot spot Grey Wolf & Barton Family Wines. This refurbished modern farmhouse has killer outdoor spaces, great views, and is home to Barton’s Kitchen, a popular lunch spot for visitors and locals. And did we mention, stellar wines?! Indulge in the Korean short ribs or the Mac ‘n Cheese made with local ETTO pasta and a creamy parmesan sauce – go all out and add crab, corn, and chili & lime crisps.

Cass Winery Café & Catering – This laid-back café at Cass Vineyard & Winery offers inside or veranda dining surrounded by rolling Paso Robles vineyards. Have a group of 12 or more, reserve a spot in advance to experience true wine country cuisine perfectly paired with Cass wines. Ordering Alice’s Crab Cake Salad and Benny’s Burger is a must!

Culinary Pairings at Daou Family Estates – Situated on a 212-acre hilltop estate and at 2,200 feet elevation you’ll find the highly-acclaimed Daou.  Know for stunning views, world-class wines, and top-notch hospitality their culinary pairings do not disappoint. Order from the pairing menu during a tasting experience or book a new Private Picnic Experiences which includes a bottle of 2020 Reserve Rosé and a special menu curated by the Estate Chef highlighting the bounty of Daou. 

 Le Cuvier Winery – Le Cuvier produces exquisite small-production wines utilizing wild yeasts, dry-farmed fruit, and neutral barrel aging. Led by Paso legend John Munch, the hands-off approach to winemaking results in wines of distinct character. For a truly one-of-a-kind dining experience reserve a Hilltop Lunch & Flight created by in-house chef Daniel that consists of five amuse-bouche pairings and a main course. This is an epicurean experience not to be missed!

Le Vigne Winery – Chef Walter Specials – Rooted in Italian history Le Vigne takes traditional and old-world practices to create unique wines that portray characteristics of the vineyard and vintage that produced them. Founder Walter Filippini has handed down his heritage Italian recipes that pair perfectly with the Le Vigne wines. Enjoy weekend lunch offerings, Saturday Night Out specials, and the ever-popular Family Take n’ Bake menus.

Pairings on the Patio – Opolo Vineyards – Take a drive down the winding backroad of iconic Vineyard Drive to one of Paso’s most popular wineries, Opolo Vineyards. Known for bold reds and epic parties, the picturesque property is the ideal setting for the popular Pairings on the Patio lunch scene. Wood-fired pizzas are what they are famous for, but must-try’s also include sausages platters and big, fresh salads.

Paris Valley Road Estate Restaurant – Family-owned Paris Valley Road Estate Winery pays homage to French varietals – meticulously vinified and carefully blended into wines with distinct Paso Robles signatures. Now open, just six miles from downtown Paso Robles, we encourage you to enjoy the vast lawn, tour the production facility, experience the historic property, and dine at the Estate Restaurant. The gourmet experience is a notch-above, with exquisite dishes like oysters, steak tartar, and house-smoked salmon.

Parrish Family Vineyards – Parrish is a go-to destination for high-quality wines, breathtaking views of the vineyard, and distinguished hospitality.  An estate chef who specializes in unique culinary creations that highlight both the wine and the food is an added bonus to this beautiful estate. A food menu is offered Thursday through Sunday featuring sandwiches, salads, and shareables. Don’t leave without trying The B.L.T.A.: almond praline bacon with roasted garlic aioli, green leaf lettuce, tomato, avocado on sliced house-made Cabernet sourdough and served with a house salad.

Rava Wines + Events – Rava is nestled on an 80-acre boutique vineyard in the heart of Paso Robles wine country.  Surrounded by vineyards and native landscape, the contemporary tasting room is ready to host you, your family, and your friends. The tasting room and patio boast modern hospitality and a welcoming place to spend the day.  With generous outdoor seating on the patio, or around our pond, there is plenty of room for the whole family, including the four-legged variety. Enjoy lunch Friday – Sunday at any number of charming settings. The flatbreads are to die for!

Robert Hall Winery – Seasonal Pairings – Come taste the limited Cavern Select wines with the seasonally prepared, organic food pairings and à la carte menu. Tour the expansive caverns along with the vineyards and learn about regenerative farming practices. Reward yourself and experience the elevated hospitality while overlooking panoramic vineyard views. Created and prepared by estate Chef Michael Learned, the seasonal pairings embody wine country cuisine.

The Bistro at San Antonio Winery – Named American Winery of the Year by Food & Beverage magazine, San Antonio Winery is in the heart of wine country. They offer an array of appetizers, pasta entrees, pizza, salads, sandwiches, soup, & more. Seating is casual in the Heritage Room, Alfresco on the covered patio, or open-air next to the fountain. The Bistro at Vina Robles –  First-class hospitality service is offered by way of unique, memorable experiences with wine, food, and music at Vina Robles Vineyards & Winery. Known primarily for their Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah, the Vina Robles lineup includes small lots of a wide range of varieties and creative blends. The Bistro menu offers a variety of seasonal dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. It is the perfect place for a lunch date, group gathering, or family get-together.  No visit is complete without ordering the Vina Burger with a side of Truffled Chips!

The JUSTIN Downtown Tasting Room – Conveniently located on Downtown City Park, the new JUSTIN Downtown Tasting Room features a world-class tasting bar and cozy dining area. Be sure to book one of their Pop-Up Dinners that combine high-end ingredients with family-style service for an unforgettable wine experience. Best Coffee Shop (and Piano Bar)

AMSTRDM – AMSTRDM is a locally owned small business. They operate as a craft coffee shop and brunch spot seven days a week during morning hours. Coffees are locally roasted and specialty sourced single-origin beans from Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Ethiopia, and many more. The venue transforms as the sun sets with an extensive local wine, beer, and fine champagne list. A short menu of small bites are available from Chef James Miles. Catch a live classical or jazz performance on the house Steinway & Sons Grand Piano. Music is currently offered four nights a week.

15 Degrees C Wine Bar & Shop  – Located in downtown Templeton just 5 minutes south of Paso Robles, 15c Wine Shop & Bar is a local and traveler favorite. With a continuously changing seasonal menu, casual vibe, and awesome outdoor patio, 15c is the place to be!

Paso Robles Wine Merchant – PRWM is a neighborhood wine shop, bar, and kitchen located in the Paso Market Walk. With eight rotating wines on tap plus many more by the glass and small plates that will blow your mind, Paso Robles Wine Merchant is a go-to spot.  Sit outside on the expansive lawn area or check out Paso Wine Merchant Wednesdays on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month to celebrate local winemakers and wineries.

The Backyard on Thirteenth –  The Backyard is a family and pet-friendly outdoor wine and beer garden located in the heart of beautiful downtown Paso Robles. They have 28 rotating taps showcasing local craft beer, cider, and wine as well as a wide selection of cans and bottles, non-alcoholic, and kid-friendly beverages. A full lunch and dinner menu is available through Roots on Railroad, the onsite partner restaurant. Firestone Walker Brewing Co. –  We are proud to boast that Paso Robles is home to the highly acclaimed Firestone Walker Brewing Company. You know what they say… it takes a lot of beer to make good wine. Turns out that statement is true, especially if it’s Firestone beer!
