• Must be proficient and able to lead in the following:
a) Water adds to fresh crush pomace.
b) Rehydration of yeast and inoculation of fermenters.
c) Fermentation additions.
d) Pump over red fermenters.
e) Safe and effective cleaning of pump over apparatus.
f) Clean and sanitation of general winery equipment.
g) Loading bulk trucks as per requirements.
h) Mixing of wine in tanks.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Two to three years’ experience in wine or related industry preferred.
• Ability to work any shift 7 days a week.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have current California driver’s license

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
• Regularly required to roll, move, and/or lift 60-gallon wine barrels when needed.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, lean, lift and squat.
• Work long hours during peak periods.
• Climb stairs and ladders.
• Ability to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Works in wine cellar where temperatures are cool and noise level is usually moderate to high at times.

Responsibilities:

•Responsible for educating tasting room staff on our wines, history and wine club.

Fermentations are wild, and there's no additions at all except for a little sulphur after ferment. We work with 30+ different varieties, from the typical (Zinfandel, Grenache, Cabernet) to the outlandish (Valdiguie, Mission, Mondeuse). Wine styles range from textured whites, to carbonic reds, to Rhone/Bordeaux blends, to old school Paso Zinfandel. We also produce a Pet Nat yearly, and made our first Hard Cider from apples that we grow on the property. We own two vineyards (one in Adelaida and one in Willow Creek) where we organically grow 22 different varieties, as well as sourcing from independent growers in Paso Robles, Monterey and San Benito.

Ideal candidates will be able to handle long days of physical work in environments ranging from the chill of pre-dawn to the heat of midday. Winemaking education is not necessary, or even really that preferable. Ability to drive forklift and tractor is a plus. Ability to keep meticulous notes and records is a must. Good taste in music is key. Ideal candidate likes to drink beer.

The Wine Club & Shipping Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality of club member experiences and communications, coordinating and executing bi-annual club shipments, and managing the onsite shipping program. The Wine Club & Shipping Manager reports directly to the Controller and Hospitality Manager; and receives direction from the Controller, Hospitality Manager, and Director of Operations.

Essential Functions
●Process all new member enrollment forms using the wine club database program, confirming all information provided. Maintain and update records for each club member as needed.
●Coordinate and execute bi-annual wine club shipments for the Fall and Spring. Includes verifying credit cards and shipping addresses, processing customization requests, coordinating with shipping and supply companies, and assisting with problem resolution regarding the shipments.
●Plan and update the wine club calendar to ensure assigned deadlines are met for projects and bi-annual wine club shipments.
●Drive wine club growth to meet projections and goals. Regularly monitor and report both wine club sign-ups and cancellations and utilize all available means (including working with the Marketing Manager on survey forms) to assess their causes.
●Refine and develop ONX’s wine club retention program and look for ways to avoid or minimize club cancellations. Continually assess wine club benefits to see what features could be added or subtracted to maximize club member loyalty and new sign-ups.
●Work closely with the Marketing Manager to keep club brochures and the club section of the website updated and accurate.
●Plan and execute wine club-specific events with assistance from the Onsite Event Manager, Marketing Manager, and Hospitality Manager. Maintain club event calendar and RSVP lists. Assist with other special events as needed.
●Manage will-call system for club members who prefer to pick up club shipments. May include assembling the pick-up orders, instructing hospitality staff on procedures, contacting club members, and monitoring timeline for pick-ups
●Manage database system and create timely activity, sales, and financial reports for the Tasting Room Manager, Controller, and Director of Operations. Assist in report analysis as needed.
●Process phone and/or e-mail orders by daily entry into the wine club database program. Likewise, process order cancellations and/or returns by crediting member accounts and properly returning the wine to inventory.
●Manage ONX’s onsite shipping program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ship weekly DTC shipments to customers and club members; complete monthly reporting through ShipCompliant as requested by Uncorked Compliance; file and email all new state documents to Uncorked Compliance; track requests for new state shipping licenses to accommodate new club members; update DTC state licenses through all platforms as needed; monitor shipping rates across carriers and update in WineDirect as necessary; order shipping supplies from suppliers.
●Help in the tasting room when assigned by the Hospitality Manager.
●Answer phone calls in the office during periods where tasting room staff is busy with customers and cannot get to the phone in a timely manner.
