Looking for an eager, self motivated individual who is looking to advance into management. This person would start as a tasting room associate and rapidly progress into full time assistant management upon learning and understanding our daily program.
*Knowledge of Wine Direct POS software and platform a plus!
Wine knowledge is preferred, however initiative and a strong motivation to learn can work as well. If you are a team player, and love to share your passion and sell wine, we would love to meet you. Essential Functions:
• Represents Locatelli Winery in a positive and professional manner, delivers a warm and friendly greeting, and exudes passion in the presentation of the wines and the story.
• Delivers effective sales strategies that result in the sale of wines and wine club memberships while keeping with our service and hospitality standards.
• Able to provide guests with an outstanding and unique experience.
• Conducts educational tours, hosts bar tastings as well as tableside tastings.
• Develops relationships with guests to stimulate repeat visits and future sales.
• Educates our guests about Locatelli's story and wines and assist consumers with their purchases.
• Presents wine club membership benefits and responsibilities in the promotion to, acquisition of, and retention of Locatelli Wine Club members.
• Maintains a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
• Follows opening and closing checklist to ensure all tasks are completed daily.
• Operates cash registers and credit card terminals accurately and efficiently.
• Stocks merchandise and supplies as needed.
• Perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning/buffing stemware, tidying up service area, taking out the trash, checking on/cleaning bathrooms.
• Assists with special events, special wine tastings, and VIP luncheons/dinners.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Other assignments as needed.

Working Conditions:
• Regular working schedule to include weekends and holidays.
• Occasional long and irregular hours during peak seasons and/or special events.
• Moderate to heavy physical work (moving wine cases/retail supplies, setting up for special events).
• Standing for long periods of time (8 hours per day)
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly (case of wine).

- Answer the telephone and emails in a positive and friendly manner
- Potential for 10% commission on any sales that stem from those calls

- Responsible for scheduling the Concierge team for the appropriate shifts on a bi-weekly basis.

- Expected to develop, plan, and actualize projects geared towards growing INN and Concierge revenue.

Your Contribution to JUSTIN:

- 2+ years of experience in a hospitality or consumer facing role. Experience in the wine industry a plus
- Proven capacity for quality management, sound judgement, and timely problem solving
- Planning/organizing--prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans.
- Competency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Typing skills: at least 50-60 words per minute

The Chef de Cuisine is responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in developing and executing the winery's dining program including special events, Downtown, the Chef Garden and other culinary based programs. A Day In The Life at JUSTIN:

- The Chef de Cuisine's primary role is to oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food related to the day program.
- Assist with daily kitchen prep work and station set-up prior to service and maintaining the highest quality food preparation standards.
- Duties associated with this role: preparing, cooking, and presenting culinary dishes; enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen; and trouble-shooting any problems that may arise.
- Works with TRM Manager & Assistant Manager to build and maintain a cohesive program between the front and back of the house
- Controls cost, efficiency, inventory & places orders with Exec Chef and or vendors
- Works with Exec and Sous chef to build and develop events and grab and go
- Responsible for training the staff in their department and holding accountable
- Responsible for maintaining organization of walk-ins, dry storage and other kitchen storage areas
- Responsible for ensuring that needed ingredients are ordered
- Responsible working with Chef and Chef de Cuisine to create seasonal appropriate dishes
- Supports the Restaurant with prep & execution of Events, Lunch, Dinner, Breakfast and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday programs.
- Proactively selects seasonal plantings for the garden based on Restaurant menu
- Maintain the JUSTIN garden and harvests vegetables & fruits for use in the kitchen and communicates what is available in the garden and what will be ready soon to the culinary team.

This busy, rewarding role is ideal for a hands-on wine maker wishing to lead and work with a small team of passionate wine professionals. 3-5 years’ experience minimum required. College degree preferred but not required depending on experience.
Professional Requirements:
- Ensure execution of all production activities in conjunction with the winemaking and vineyard teams, including but not limited to participating in decisions about viticultural practices, field sampling & pick decisions, crush, and fermentation, blending and bottling. A certain degree of work will be hands-on and physically involved.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to manage the tasting room and our small staff, and oversee our wine club. This is a terrific opportunity to be an integral team member at one of Paso’s most lauded small-production wineries. The position will require approximately 15-25 hours per week—some can be done remotely, and hours would increase during busy times. Our tasting room is open Friday-Sunday, so working one or two of those days is required. We can be flexible with schedules, but with a small staff, reliability is extremely important. Tasting Room Attendant Job Description

MCV is a small boutique winery located in the Tin City area of Paso Robles. We are looking for a part-time Tasting Room Attendant. The candidate must be customer-focused, engaging and a problem solver.

Ideally, the candidate is passionate and knowledgeable about wine and has previous industry experience. It’s important that the candidate provides excellent customer service, is flexible and able to multi-task in order to thrive in our ever-changing environment.

The candidate must be at least 21 years of age and must be able to work typical tasting room hours, including most weekends, and holidays/special events as necessary, lift 60 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift, and stand/walk for long periods of time. Applicant should be flexible to work in person and remotely.

Company Summary
Midnight Cellars is small family owned vineyard and winery operation in the beautiful town of Paso Robles, CA. Midnight produces estate grown wines from the famed Willow Creek district in Paso Robles. We produce about 7,000 cases of wine for Midnight Cellars along with producing wine for custom crush clients, usually about 12,000 total cases. We have a small tight knit fun winemaking team. We pride ourselves in our passion for winemaking and our ability to put smiles on each other’s face.

Position Summary

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for making high quality wine, who has 1 -3 years of cellar experience and is looking become a part of a winemaking family. This position will be an integral support position to the Assistant Winemaker and the rest of winemaking staff, helping with most aspects of daily winemaking responsibilities.

This is a full-time position. Weekly schedule is typically Monday through Friday. There will include weekend work and overtime as necessary (especially during harvest). The salary is commensurate with level of experience. Position also includes benefits for full-time employment at Midnight Cellars.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)
• Help maintain daily winery sanitation. A clean winery is a happy winery!
• Perform cellar work assigned by Assistant Winemaker.
o Transfers, blending, racking, topping, barrel work/maintenance, etc.
• Perform select lab analysis with aid from Assistant Winemaker.
• Performs simple equipment maintenance throughout the cellar.
• Ability to recognize problems and report potential issues to Assistant Winemaker.
• Ability to fill out work orders, and notice/record details for assigned cellar tasks.

Minimum Qualifications
• Able to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
• Able to work hard and independently with a minimum of supervision.
• Ability and willingness to work various shifts including weekends and overtime.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills - oral and written.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Light-hearted with a positive outlook and flexible.

Preferred Qualifications
• Previous harvest experience in winery production
• Undergraduate degree in Enology and/or Viticulture or related field
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Operate a forklift safely – stack barrels, move wine pallets, transport bins, etc.
• Previous laboratory experience - standard wine “wet” chemistry, and the ability to learn new methods.
Working Conditions
Working conditions in certain areas of the winery are cold, warm, wet, slippery and noisy. Involves exposure to loud noises, fumes, near moving mechanical parts and lift truck traffic. Frequent walking, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouch or crawl, going up and down stairs and ladders. Must be able to move up to 55 lbs. Must have a valid driver's license. Ability to work weekends and overtime.

ONX Wines is hiring for a hospitality team member to conduct experiences at our estate vineyard in Templeton and tasting room in Tin City! This role is highly dynamic and needs an enthusiastic individual who can lead guests through private tours of our estate vineyard and seated tastings at the tasting room. This position is part-time for Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and some week days.

GENERAL
• Part-time position for 24 to 32 hours a week, non-exempt status
• The Hospitality Associate reports to the Tasting Room & Vineyard Hospitality Manager and Assistant Hospitality Manager
• Hourly rate + wine club bonuses, tips, sales commission, and additional incentives as they arise

RESPONSIBILITIES

Hospitality Department
• Leading guests through wine tasting, wine education, and the history of ONX
• Conducting private vineyard tours of our Estate Vineyard in Templeton
• Building, maintaining, and expanding positive customer relations, which may include outreach, emails, and phone calls
• Selling wine, wine clubs, and merchandise to guests
• Providing excellent customer service in person, through zoom, over the telephone, and through email
• Preparing the tasting room by following the opening and closing procedures
• Stocking the tasting room with wine, supplies, glasses, bags, and merchandise daily
• Being knowledgeable of ONX’s Concierge and Rentals program; connecting guests with the Innkeeper
• Representing the company in a positive manner
• Performing other duties for the Hospitality department as needed
• Assisting with on-premise and off-premise events

ONX at Home Department
• Providing virtual customer wine experiences & customer support
• Producing, assembling, and shipping ONX tasting kits

Food and Wine Service
• Assisting guests with their wine selection
• Preparing tapas menu items as needed

REQUIREMENTS
• Must be 21 years of age
• Must be able to lift 45 - 50 pounds frequently
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must have reliable transportation
• Knowledge of wine and wine tasting practices
• Ability to generate sales
• Must have a strong work ethic and be able to multitask, problem solve, and think on their feet while
maintaining enthusiasm and poise in a fast-paced environment
• Must be available weekends, holidays, and holiday weekends
