Job Summary

Niner Wine Estates is a family owned and operated estate winery seeking a full-time Marketing Associate to join our team. This position will support our Marketing, Sales and Wine Club operations by becoming an expert in our brand message, sales strategies, digital design, and content creation. This position is dynamic in nature and will put the right candidate in the middle of a growing company with the potential to grow and specialize. This position reports to the President and has key interactions cross-functionally with our Director of Hospitality, Content Manager, Wine Club Manager, Winemakers and CFO.

Responsibilities

- Assist with the company’s ecommerce sales plan including email creation, product updates, monthly sales analysis and sales experiments.
- Support our Director of Sales in developing materials to support sales and events focused on our wholesale business.
- Support our Wine Club Manager in developing and executing strategies for our Wine Club.
- Assist with the development and execution of point of sales materials across the company, including tasting room updates, Wine Club Materials (3x a year), special event signage and menus.
- Assist with product management, cross-functional inventory management and sales analysis.
- Responsible for creating and updating products and sales materials on the website (tech sheets, bottle shots etc.)
- Assist with off-site pouring/marketing events.
- Position will be cross-trained in the tasting room to educate themselves on our brand, products and customers.

Qualifications and Skills

- Looking for a hardworking, humble and genuinely curious person. The right candidate will have a healthy competitive streak and ability to balance creativity with sales analysis. This position deals with multiple departments daily and will be involved with many projects.
- Program knowledge preferred: Vin65, Tock, Canva and Emma (or other e-mail platforms). Very willing to train the right candidate.
- Wine knowledge is a plus, but not required.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Monday – Friday with some weekends required.
- Excellent verbal & written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Must be able to balance creativity with good decision making skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

2023 BLEND - Willow Creek Disctrict - 71% Mourvèdre, 23% Tannat, 3% Syrah, 3% Graciano
$18/ gallon - 70 gallons

This blend originated as a single co-fermentation of Mourvèdre and Tannat harvested on the same day from a single, premier vineyard in the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles. A small amount of Syrah and Graciano was blended in at a later time to create a wine with great color, soft tannin, and a mixture of dark fruit and earthy notes. The wine is currently held in a single, once-used 265L barrel. Farmed organically but not certified.

2023 Tannat - Adelaida District - $15/gallon - 140 gallons
15.64% ABV, 3.64 pH, 6.6 TA

Sourced from the Adelaida District of Paso Robles, the Tannat has a mixture of bright fruit and deeper tones, including light spice. It’s medium bodied with soft tannin and a good finish. The naturally balanced acidity and good color offers a lot of potential. Topping and FSO2 has been maintained once per month and the wine has aged in two 265L barrels.

Comprised of several clones of Syrah from a premier vineyard in the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles, this wine is extremely dark, with balanced acidity and tannin. The wine is held in three 265L barrels, including a new Vallurine MHT, a once-used François Frerés VSG M+X, and a neutral, French oak barrel. Please inquire for analysis.

15.22% ABV, 3.36 pH, 6.3 TA

This Grenache is comprised of 100% clone 362 from the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles. The fruit comes from vines which naturally yield less than 3 tons/ acre and have distinctly small berries a great color. The wine has been stored in two neutral, 400L barrels. The wine has great color with a very aromatic, fresh and candied red fruit nose and vibrant acidity.

GENERAL
This is a full-time position, and the right candidate will have the ability to multitask, general human resource and bookkeeping concepts, work in a fast-paced environment, and discretion required. This person will be responsible for assisting the HR/Admin Manager and Accounting in a variety of duties as pertains to their departments.

DUTIES
The HR/Admin Assistant supports the human resources and accounting departments by completing various tasks listed below. This position will be split half of the time on HR tasks and the other half on admin/bookkeeping tasks. Job duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following activities:

HR Tasks
• Update and maintain calendars, staff directories, emails, time off requests, phone extension lists, and other lists.
• Keep current onboarding packets for new hires as forms and labor laws changes.
• Assist in onboarding new hires.
• Order and maintain office supplies creating an inventory control system, ensure supply room is clean and organized and stocked.
• Work with off-site supplier to review/stock medical cabinets.
• Create employee tracking for harassment prevention, CPR and other required training.
• Assist with employee wine program distribution and coordinate staff lunches.
• Coordinates donation requests.
• Update Paylocity with staff hours.
• Update and create job descriptions, post job openings, assist with pre-hiring, i.e., print resumes, pre-screen applicants, create interview schedules.

• Track and inventory facility keys.
• Supports HR team with Open Enrollment as needed, prepare materials, schedules trainings, and educates staff on benefit programs and resources.

• Upon confirmation of shipment, create customer Invoices, submit to customers and relieve inventory.
• Issue approved monthly customer Billbacks.
• Issue monthly customer statements and monitor past due balances.
• Match incoming customer checks to open invoices.
• File accounting related documents and scan for record retention.
• Maintain and update Vendor W-9’s, Vendor Contracts, and COI Binders.
• Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
