Law Estate Wines is a family owned/operated winery and vineyard located on the west side of Paso Robles. We are ultimately looking for candidates with a strong interest in hospitality and wine sales. This is a part-time position for Saturdays and Sundays with the option for an additional weekday. There is potential for full time employment based on performance. The tasting room position is focused on wine sales with the additional responsibilities of greeting guests, answering scheduling questions, the breakdown and set up of the private tastings, alongside assisting the guests with their transportation, wine packing, and booking needs. There will be strong professional and career growth training for candidates that show excellence in their role with the management of the client experience, and contribution to the overall brand.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Wine Sales, including wine clubs, event tickets on and offsite.
- Preparation, execution and break down of tastings, tours, events on & off winery premises.
- Scheduling events, appointments, tours & seminars for guests, media/trade & management.
- Strong communication on skills for tastings, tours, dinners & off-premise events
- Greeting and exiting guests as they arrive and depart.
- Booking appointments on and offsite
- Working with staff members on all levels, including winery & vineyard when help is needed.
- Participate in training through tastings, wine courses, travel, harvest, winery/vineyard work.
- Report directly to the tasting room and assistant tasting room manager.

Position Summary
The Tasting Room Manager provides proactive leadership in all aspects of tasting room operations and works to develop a team that passionately promotes the brand. They will work to create a memorable guest experience for every customer by successfully overseeing and implementing all aspects of tasting room operations: sales, customer service, training and development, reservation management, winery experiences, inventory accuracy, staff scheduling, cash reconciliation, and local outreach.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reconciling orders with shipping labels and organizing custom orders
Troubleshooting other shipping issues in real-time
Producing, assembling, and shipping ONX tasting kits
Cleaning up from assembly following closing procedures
Maintaining a clean and stocked assembly/prep area

Data entry for the creation of shipping labels
Entering content into note templates and printing them

Purpose and Objectives:
The Tasting Room Lead is one of the primary faces and voices of the tasting room. This position will provide above and beyond expected customer service, while helping maintain a warm, friendly, clean, organized and efficient tasting room and café. The Tasting Room Supervisor will report directly to the Hospitality Manager and Tasting Room Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:
• Supervise all aspects of tasting room operations including hospitality, daily staffing, inventory, POS, tours, reservations and general café procedures
• Inform staff of daily sales goals in a creative and exciting way to motivate performance and increase awareness within the team
• Assist in performing daily, weekly and monthly inventory reconciliation, trouble shoot as necessary, and report to supervisor
• Assist in executing effective training schedules to new hires of the tasting room including hosts, bussers, tour guides or event staff
• Responsible for opening and closing register while on duty, and troubleshooting register errors as necessary Reporting information to management as needed
• Maintain accurate supply of change and petty cash
• Host consumer groups and VIP visits with the ability to offer an engaging tour experience of Santa Margarita Ranch and Margarita Vineyards
• Continuously educate tasting room staff on new procedures, policies, events and promotions preferably at the beginning of each shift
• Assist in coordination and execution of monthly staff trainings for tasting room team
• Facilitate ordering of tasting room supplies, including packaging materials and office supplies
• Perform and manage prompt handling of customer concerns in a positive manner
• Work with the Wine Club team to creatively reach monthly sign up goals
• Assist in development in new incentive programs for staff and customers
• Crosstrain with Café- knowledgeable about Café procedures and training needs

Professional Requirements:
• Five years of hospitality industry experience, preferably within the wine industry
• Two years of management or supervisor experience
• Must be a positive team player who practices respect and appreciation for all positions and team members
• Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Positive, well organized, dedicated, creative and passionate
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment; adapt to quick changes in plans and work without close supervision or rigid structure
• Must be available evenings and weekends
• Must be able stand on feet for long periods of time, and be physically capable of carrying 50 pounds
• Must have a valid CA driver’s license
• Willingness to perform all duties necessary and in the interest of the brand image
• Willingness to listen and learn from all team members
• Strong customer service and organizational skills, and excellent oral/written communication skills
