Sweet vs. Fruity
October 20, 2015
People often confuse the term “fruity” with “sweet” when describing how their wine tastes.
Fruity or “fruit forward” doesn’t mean that the wine is sweet, it just means there are significant notes of fruit – like blackberry, baked apple, ripe strawberry, etc. Wines can be both “fruit forward” and not sweet.
