Add a little sparkle to your Valentine’s Weekend and join us for our first signature dinner of the year, the Dragonfly Dinner, held in our stunning Silo Barn. This intimate evening features a welcome reception on the Silo Patio, where you will be greeted with a glass of our 2016 Libelle sparkling to celebrate its release and a three-course dinner by Halter Ranch’s Executive Chef Paul Arangorin.
The 2016 Libelle, made from our estate grown Picpoul Blanc, is a delicate and lively offering. A balanced palate with hints of brioche and crushed pineapple create a delicious and rare wine that can be enjoyed as an aperitif, with cheese and charcuterie, oysters or any celebration. The name Libelle means dragonfly in German and references our beautiful Ex-Libris Alice Halter sculpture located in the Tasting Room. The art piece was created from a bookplate inscribed with the dragonfly motif given by our owner’s father to his sweetheart Alice Halter.
