As summer approaches, baseball season is in full swing. Last year, the Paso Wine industry held nominations and voted on our first ever Wine Awards. These awards are meant to recognize the individuals and organizations excelling among the wine industry.

We are happy to announce our first recipient for the 2019 Industry Rookie of the Year Award. An award that highlights an individual who in their industry “freshman year” had the greatest impact.

Ivy Thompson of Linne Calodo

A first-year Tasting Room Associate at Linne Calodo, Ivy was nominated by her team who praised her considerable dedication to the wine industry, whether it be at work, in school, and her organizational involvement. Ivy is currently a student at Cal Poly, whose senior project helped gather information for Hospice du Rhône. Ivy also helps run Cal Poly Vines to Wines and volunteers for organizations that give scholarships to young people in the wine industry.
