Start your morning on Saturday, May 21, at the fun and educational Makers Seminar. Winemakers geek out and present wines that are emblematic of the region as a whole, with plenty of detail on what makes the soil, climate, and geography so impactful and how that is reflected in the glass. Come nerd out with us then head into the Paso Wine Fest Grant Tasting event.

Seminar 1: Cab Icons of Paso

Since the 1960s, Paso Robles has been producing Cabernet Sauvignon of distinction. It is a variety that enjoys a Mediterranean climate with warm days and cool nights over a long growing season. The very definition of Paso Robles. Fast forward to today, more than half of what is grown in Paso Robles is Cabernet Sauvignon and the Bordeaux varieties. Critical acclaim has found Paso Robles in these six icons of Cabernet Sauvignon, whose wines showcase the superb growing environment for Cab in Paso Robles. This seminar features Austin Hope, DAOU Vineyards & Winery, Eberle Winery, J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines, JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery, and My Favorite Neighbor. Moderated by Amanda Wittstrom Higgins, President & Founder of Dream Big Darling.
