Founded in 1981, Wild Horse Winery &Vineyards was named after the mustangs that once roamed the hills east of the vineyard estate. The mustangs represent the free and noble spirit that embodies our winemaking and our wines. We source our Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from the best vineyards throughout California’s Central Coast—from Santa Barbara to Monterey. We harvest individual lots of the same variety from many different terroirs and ferment them separately. Then we carefully blend the individual lots into extremely complex, yet harmonious, wines. Throughout our history, we have been relentless in our desire to learn and have experimented with new growing and winemaking methods. This has led to a program of small-lot experimentation and the production of a number of rare varieties such as Malvasia Bianca, Verdelho and Blaufrankisch. You can find our winery and estate vineyards in Templeton, California—the halfway point between Los Angeles and San Francisco along Highway 101, just south of Paso Robles. This is the heart of California’s Central Coast. We invite you to come out to the tasting room, set in our beautiful vineyards, where our knowledgable staff will be glad to pour you wines you may already love and know, and introduce you to our RESERVE wines available only at the winery. Wild Horse Winery and Vineyards was one of the first in the Paso Robles area, come out and be a part of a true tradition. CHEERS!
