    We are Turtle Rock Vineyards, a family-owned, boutique Paso Robles winery guided by a simple belief: great wine begins with exceptional fruit. Founded in 2008 by Don and Claudia Burns, we source from some of the most respected vineyards in the Willow Creek and Templeton Gap Districts, focusing mainly on Rhône varietals while also embracing Paso Robles’ diverse grape offerings. Producing approximately 3,000 cases annually, our portfolio includes Rhône-inspired red blends, a Rhône white, a Rosé of Grenache, and our newest label, a Cabernet-based blend.

    Among our most celebrated wines is Maturin, a Syrah, Graciano, and Grenache blend from the highly regarded James Berry Vineyard—the 2016 and 2017 vintages each earned 99 points from Jeb Dunnuck, with the 2017 ranked No. 5 in his Top 100 Wines. Our G2 Syrah has achieved perfect 100-point scores from Jeb Dunnuck for both the 2019 and 2022 vintages. Our wines have also consistently received mid- to high-90-point scores from Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, and Vinous.

    We invite visitors to enjoy daily classic tastings in our Tin City tasting room, or for a more exclusive experience, barrel and library tastings are offered by appointment at select times, providing a rare glimpse into our limited-production wines and the artistry behind each vintage. We look forward to sharing our wines, our story, and the extraordinary place they come from.
