AboutFinnish for a "high place", kukkula refers to winemaker/owner Kevin Jussila's heritage and the stunning westside location overlooking Adelaida and the Adelaida Schoolhouse. kukkula exclusively produces blends with a Rhone focus, from dry-farmed, organic and estate vines.
We believe that most of the hard work is done in the vineyard. And, if we maintain this discipline, farm organically, and without irrigation, we will create wines of intense aromatics, flavors, and color, that are a true expression of place, and the essence of their terroir.
Our home and winery are nestled in the vineyard and olive orchard, and are very modern structures which employ unconventional materials. Both have won AIA citations for design excellence. -
