Longtime farmers Ray and Pam Derby originally intended to grow and sell grapes from their three vineyards in San Luis Obispo County: Derbyshire, Derby, and Laura's Vineyard. After many years as a Grape grower, Ray saw the potential of each vineyard and in 2006 he and Pam created Derby Wine Estates. Using just 20 select acres for their own brand, the Derbys continue to sell the remainder of their 400 planted acres. The diversity of each vineyard is the core of Derby Wine Estates. In 2010, the Derbys purchased the historical Paso Robles Almond Growers Building and began rejuvenating it. In April of 2014, the building opened and is now home to our full production facility and Tasting Room. Come taste our diverse selection of wines, see wine production in action, and tour our historic facility. Open daily.
