Clos Solène is a boutique, family-owned winery set in the rolling hills of the Willow Creek District AVA on the West Side of Paso Robles, California. The estate is led by owner and winemaker Guillaume Fabre, alongside his wife, muse, and inspiration, Solène.

A sixth-generation winemaker, Guillaume came to California to pursue a deeply personal vision: to craft wines that honor his French heritage while expressing the distinct character and energy of Paso Robles. As Solène reflects, “This is our dream becoming reality. We invested the small savings we had and worked, and still work, as much as possible, not only to make elegant wines with character and personality, but to build genuine relationships with the people who support us in this endless work.”

Clos Solène produces limited-production white and red Rhône-style blends, shaped by a vigneron philosophy rooted in attentive farming, thoughtful blending, and restraint in the cellar. Each wine reflects a deep respect for place, people, and time, balancing power with finesse and age-worthiness.

Estate visits are offered by appointment only, with intimate tastings designed to reflect the winery’s high-touch, hospitality-driven approach. Tastings are available daily, with first seating at 10:00 a.m. and last seating at 3:00 p.m.

The winery is located at 2040 Niderer Road, Paso Robles, California.

    • 70% of the vineyard was grafted to Rhone varieties (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and a few others). The Rhône varieties were grafted based on the soil, mostly shale with larger slopes. The other 30% of the vineyard was grafted with Bordeaux varieties, where the soil has a better capability to hold water. New plantings in '18
