About us:
Bodega de Edgar is a small premium winery in Paso Robles that was established in 2005. Owned and managed by Edgar Torres, Bodega de Edgar is focused on making Spanish style blends from unique and exceptional vineyard sits; primarily on the west side of Paso. In addition we have a second brand called Songs which is exclusively single vineyard site driven wines from both Paso and Santa Barbara counties respectively. Between these two brands we produce approx. 3,000 cases per year.
About The Position: This is a full-time, seasonal position from approximately Mid-August through Mid-November, depending on the season. Previous winery experience is preferred but not required. You will work closely with our Winemaker and Assistant Winemaker and be able to see every aspect from vineyard to barrel, which makes this a great learning opportunity. A successful candidate will have a great work ethic, willingness to learn, great communication and organizational skills, and a good sense of humor!
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Cleaning and sanitization of barrels, winemaking equipment, and facilities
• Fruit sorting and processing
• Fermentation management (i.e. punchdowns and pumpovers, daily analysis, etc.)
• Draining and digging out tanks
• Wine additions and inoculations
• Filling and cleaning the press
• Filling and topping barrels
• Vineyard sampling
• Lab analysis and sampling
SCHEDULE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Have reliable transportation and be on-time and ready to work
• Attention to detail is a must
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision at times
• Understanding of cellar operations with an eagerness to learn
• Good organizational skills and the ability to take on many tasks at a time
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for 10 or more hours a day in an indoor/outdoor setting

Working with our small team you will have your hands in all sides of the winemaking process during harvest and get to see a wide range of winemaking techniques between our two brands. Our winemaking facility is in Tin City, so the harvest environment is lively and exciting and there is no long commute off the highway.

Cross-trains to support other hospitality departments as required, contributing to overall team effectiveness.
Executes additional vineyard experiences as assigned, such as Vineyard Picnics and Afternoon Teas, ensuring high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.
Serves as a positive ambassador for the company, upholding its values and protecting ONX Wines property at all times.
Required Experience, Education, & Skills:
Must be 21 years of age.
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, late nights, and holidays.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including high and low temperatures.
Time management skills with the ability to adhere to schedules and tour time frames.

Conveniently located on Vineyard Drive a mile up from the West Highway 46 roundabout. Designed to be a work efficient winery, our facility is fully equipped for all production operations.
Dedicated to a clean and sanitary environment, we have both an ozone and steam generator for barrel and tank cleaning.
Crush equipment including cluster and berry sorting capabilities.
We are able to facilitate a range of fermentation lot sizes for white and red wines with both stainless steel and concrete vessels available.
We use a 20hL JLB basket press with two baskets, one of which can press as small as half a ton.
Both hot and cold glycol is available.
We have two temperature-controlled rooms one of which can be chilled and heated to assist primary and/or secondary fermentations to finish in barrel.
We have a dedicated well for the winery. Reverse osmosis, ultra violet sterilized water is plumbed throughout the facility.
Two different power hookups are available to accommodate a range of bottling trucks and power requirements. The plate height of the building allows bottling trucks to pull undercover so you don’t have to worry about bottling in the rain or sun.
A well-trained and educated staff is available to assist with your winery tasks if so desired.
