Blue’s Butter Burgers – Locatelli Vineyards & Winery

Wine Pairing: Locatelli 2018 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon


10 Onions / 3 sticks of salted butter / Pretzel bread rolls / Ground beef (75-85% Lean) / McCormicks Montreal seasoning


Season the ground beef patties with McCormicks Montreal season salt the night before serving. Slice up 8-10 red onions and place in a large aluminum tub with 3 sticks of butter. Place tub of onions over one side of the grill, while the burger patties cook on the other side of the grill. Start onion mix on high heat for about 45 minutes before the burgers. Stir onion mixture until it turns into a hot butter onion jelly/jam. Once the onion jelly turns translucent, turn the heat down. For ultimate results, use fresh pretzel bread rolls. Scoop a heaping spoon full of the jelly onto the burger patty and pretzel roll. No other toppings are needed!
