Armed with nothing more than their love and passion for making wine, in 2001 Louis and Raynette Gregory launched Locatelli Estate Winery. Twenty vintages, five kids, and one hundred acres of land later, Locatelli thrives, and boasts it's award winning, world class, estate grown wines. Their journey began thirty plus years ago when Louis (winemaker) learned his grandfather and great grandfather were home winemakers, prompting his curiosity into the winemaking process. On weekends he dabbled with any kind of fermenting fruit he could get his hands on. Needless to say he was bitten by the bug and in 1996 bought 100 acres of bare land just outside of San Miguel in the Paso Robles Appellation. Soon afterwards his extended family came to cultivate, plant and care for the grapes in those early years. Then in the summer of 2001, the young family, moved onto their property which by now consisted of 40 acres of grapes. That was the year Locatelli Vineyards became Locatelli Winery and joined the ranks of 35 other wineries in the region. Today, Locatelli Winery is one of only 18 wineries that boast being originally owned since 2001. They’re dedicated to producing the finest estate grown wines in the Paso Robles Appellation. Thank you and enjoy!
