PRAA MAKING ART ON AN IPAD
Learn the basics of using the iPad to draw and paint digital art with excellent and affordable “Procreate” app.
Legitimizing the iPad as a tool for creating art, venerable artist and visual explorer David Hockney showed 33 of his 5 foot tall iPad paintings at the De Young Museum in San Francisco In 2013. Many artists today are embracing digital art for sketching and painting, for personal work as well as professional work, both painting and graphic art scenarios. This is an excellent tool for painters as well. It can be used for everyday sketching, compositional layouts, exploring changes to our paintings, and having our digital creations professionally printed very conveniently.
Using the exciting app that David Hockney used, Procreate, this beginner’s introduction class will explore the program features, basic navigation, tools, basic actions, and methods of sketching and painting on the iPad; as well as how layers work, sizing your work, and sharing and printing. Students will work hands on exploring this exciting medium on their iPads*. $45 per student.
