Join us for the WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Level 1 one day Foundation course at CASS Winery in Paso Robles, CA. This hands-on course teaches students through sight, smell, and taste, to understand more about wine. By the end of the course, you’ll be able to taste wine using a systematic approach to tasting and be able to identify the main styles of wine. You’ll also learn the key principles of food and wine pairing and be able to apply these to your own food and wine choices. This class provides a basic introduction to the main styles of wines available today. Level 1 is ideal for those who want to learn more for either personal knowledge, to boost wine confidence for hospitality, improve your current position in the wine industry, those who are thinking of changing careers, or just want to learn about one of their favorite beverage.

The course includes: course materials, classroom instruction with wines for tasting, exam fee, certificate and lunch.

To obtain the WSET Level 1 Award Certificate in Wine, you will need to successfully pass an in- person exam that is made up of 30 multiple-choice questions. Successful students will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.
